A lot of people might be tempted to believe that these sites are only for college students and teenagers. However, the truth is that people are marketing their home based businesses on these hugely popular sites all the time! I've seen 70 year olds on Facebook! It's defiantly not just for kids!

People come on to these sites to be personal and have fun. So what you want to do is just be a real person! Take off your marketing hat and just be who you really are. Now while you're doing that of course you are more than welcome to market your business (hey, it's a part of who you are right!) just make sure you do it all in moderation!
Also, while these sites can help you get a lot of attention to your business they can also be really addictive! So try not to use them as your only form of marketing online. And don't get too sucked in otherwise you can wake up from your internet coma and realize you've spent 4 hours on Facebook! (Believe me I've done it!)
